Our Virtual Private Server Hosting Plans are among the most cost effective plans on the market.
The key thing to remember about VPS plans is although the hosting provider may sell the plan as having a number of vCPUs, server memory, and other server resources, YOU ARE SHARING the physical CPU (and other server resources) with other users on the same physical server. This is done using "Virtualization Software", such as Hyper-V or VMWare. What this means is that you only get a FRACTION of an actual CPU, which depends upon how many other VPS clients they have on the PHYSICAL SERVER. A vCPU is very relative, AND VERY DIFFERENT than a physical CPU. Here is the question to ask. How many other clients are SHARING THE PHYSICAL CPU? If there are 100 clients on the server, 1 vCPU is 1/100th of the physical CPU. When we add clients, we add PHYSICAL SERVERS to match the workload, and we KNOW how to do it.
Here at RLMEC, we provision our servers VERY LIGHTLY. This means that our client’s server resources are not spread as thin between other clients on the server. We currently max our servers at about 10 VPS clients PER PHYSICAL SERVER. Typical hosting providers provision servers at 10x to 100x this amount. We use Microsoft Hyper-V in our "virtual environment", and a vCPU WILL NEVER be less than 1/10th a PHYSICAL CPU.
Our VPS clients get full remote console access to manage their server.
All of our VPS clients get one shared IP starndard with the account. Additional static dedicated IPs are available as an optional add-on.
We base our VPS server pricing on HALF of the cost for the EXACT same VPS resouces you get with a MS Azure account. We think this is very fair market pricing! :-)
